Seeker Abilities and Spells (Enchanter Studies):

The binding of magics and enchantments into items is the power of this class. The enchanter is a valuable asset to an adventuring company, or any kingdom. They are highly sought after.

As the spell is cast upon the item, the caster will choose which characteristic will be adjusted.
Any who hold the item will gain the bonus characteristic for the “Duration” of the spell.

A targeted spell-caster can agree to losing spell-points (give them to you freely), or can resist (see: "Avoidance-Roll").
Question: Do I add these points to mine, permanently increasing my pool of spell-points?
Answer: No. You are only draining a creature of unnused spell-points to replenish your own. You are not permanently absorbing the target's spell-points. The targeted creature's spell-points will regenerate at the normal rate of 3 per hour. |

Example: A level 21 enchanter can give 4 + 7 (level 21 ÷3 = 7) = 11 spell-points to another caster. 4, 6, 8, or the full 11 can be given. It is up to the caster. |

Causes an item's enchantment to fade away for a time.

Area of Effect: | One item or object. |
Avoidance-Roll: | Yes: Each type of item will have a % resistance against being disenchanted. Notice how each item has more than 100% to resist being disenchanted, making it seemingly for the caster to succeed. However, this is not always the case, for the higher level the enchanter, the easier it will be to successfully disenchant an item.
The level of the caster will force a penalty upon the item to be disenchanted. This forced penalty will be -3 per level advanced.
Example: In an attempt to cut the bonuses of a magic sword, a level 5 enchanter casts Temporary Disenchantment on it. The sword has a natural 110% to be uneffected, but the level of the caster (5) will lower the artifact's chance to resist the spell by 15%, lowering it's resistance to 95% (the caster doesn't have a very good chance, but doable.
The following chart lists the % chance for each item type of item to resist being disenchanted:

Special: If you fail to disenchant an item, there is something you can still attempt to be successful. You will have two choices. Each choice comes with a risk involved as follows:
Sacrificial Intelligence: You can permanently sacrifice up to 6 points of intelligence. For each point sacrificed, you will force a penalty of 10% for the "% chance to resist", and a re-roll will be done. Fail or succeed, you will lose the intelligence permanently.
Suspended Itelligence: You can temporarily sacrifice up to 6 points of intelligence. For each point sacrificed, you will force a penalty of 5% for the "% chance to resist", and a re-roll will be done. Fail or succeed, you will lose the intelligence temporarily (30 days). |
